NOT GAY FRIENDLY establishment.DANGEROUS owners. My partner and I, were asaulted and kicked off the property after the owner found out that two men were sleeping in the same tent...I have a bad arm, due to previous injury and reconstructive surgery. Mark, the owner, threatened to cut off my good hand with his axe. He chased us and attempted to hit us with his ATV. He accused us of stealing his spruce wood... I dont know the difference between spruce and pine... but we did pay $10 for a wheel barrel of fire wood.Mark and Wendy made it very clear that they have dealt with our kind before (gays) and they werent interested in having us stay, even though we paid in advance and were registered. While checking out, my partner was shoved out of the registry office, and thrown down the stairs/ramp. They would not let us use the phone or pay phone to call emergency services. It is illegal to refuse service to gays, blacks, muslims, and any other minority.Hate charges have been pressed, and the police are taking this very seriously. The police have had to visit Mark and Wendy several times because of calls like this.Mark and Wendy have some pretty serious hate/discrimination and assault charges coming their way.Other children were also being harassed, as the owners believed them to be our friends. I had to warn multiple families with children about The ownerss dangerous and erratic behaviour. Many other campers left that night as a result.

Excellent place for a getaway, it doesn't even have cell service so if you want a break from it all this is it! The camp spaces are big and each has a fire pit and picnic table and most are nice and secluded. The beach at the riverside is very popular and a lot of people float on inflatables down the scenic Red Deer River Valley to a number of river crossings downstream where they've left pick-up vehicles. Playgrounds and a beach volleyball court are a few more things there. Potable water is available, flush toilets and showers. I would advise booking ahead and the price is only $25.00 per night. None of the camp spots have electricity.

Love this place. It's private and quiet. NO CELL PHONE RECEPTION AND INTERNET RECEPTION!! So its great to just get away. Right by the Red Deer river, so it's great to spend the afternoon just floating down it. We even got to set off fireworks there. Definitely recommend it!!

A beautiful setting, well-treed sites and good amenities. However, 11:00 pm quiet time is not enforced and therefore this is not a good bet for anyone looking for a quiet camping experience. We were stuck in between two large multi-family parties and had a terrible experience. Nice people, but 30 people, kids, dogs, generators and at a table full of booze does not add up to a serene nature experience. It is probably luck of the draw as to where your site is in relation to who will be noisy that night, but we finally had to yell out at 1:00 am to please shut it down. It went on for another half hour. The next morning we told the operators, but they seemed quite unsympathetic, saying "they can't be out on the campsite at 1:00 am "(obviously), and we can't expect people to go to bed at 11:00."We don't expect people to "go to bed" at 11:00 pm, but what exactly does "quiet time" mean? In every other campground we've been to in Canada and the US, it means music off and noise kept to a minimum and that has been enforced. We've never been to a campground like this one before. I think the word is out that Trenville is a party place, and good for anyone who wants to camp that way - we were just the wrong guests for that campground.

Right on the Red Deer River with well treed private sites. Pretty quiet usually. Unserviced level sites good picnic tables and fire pits. Wonderful managers! Clean, modern showers. Nice playground. $25/ night + $10 Sani dump fee and $10/load wood. River usually shallow for kids and fishing. Great starting point for a float to Mackenzie crossing. No cell service though.
